On the show this week our first stop is Muswellbrook in the Upper Hunter. Phill chats with Amber as she tells us what is available here at the showgrounds. We have now stopped here twice in our travels and found it a great place to stop in. There are powered as well as unpowered sites, big flat area and it may pay to ring ahead to make sure there is room as it does get a little busy. Another good thing to its location is a short stroll across the road to Aldi and Coles so no need to take the car out. Also they do close a few weekends through out the year for the annual show and other events.

Jenny has been doing this role for 15 years and the muster has been going for 20 years with 24 vans for the first muster to now over 700 vans. This year the draw card is Jade Hurley on the Thursday night. Walk up artist’s commence early in the week.

Phill sits down and chats with Max Maher, who is one of the walk up artist. Max comes from Casino and has been coming to the festival for 15 years. During the first 3 days the walk up artists sing during the day and then the audience vote for the best 16 who then get to play on the big stage on the Thursday night and also get free entry for the next year.

Max enjoys coming to the festivals and singing and also to catch up with old friends.
