This week we head into Victoria and stop of at Corryong. Our first stop is The Man From Snowy River Museum. John walked us through the museum, told us fascinating information. If you stop here you wont be disappointed. There is an exhibition on Jack Riley ” the so called Man From Snowy River”, also some great war memorabilia, make sure you check out the blanket, old class rooms and a police station. Take the time to wander, you wont be disappointed. http://manfromsnowyrivermuseum.com.au/

We stopped in to the Man From Snowy River Bush Festival shop, here you purchase tickets and find out information and also clothing and anything else you may wish to purchase. Phill took the time to chat with Jenny and find out what its all about and also how long its been running for. The dates for next years festival is the 7th to 10th April 2022. https://bushfestival.com.au/

Whilst in Corryong take a visit to Jack Riley’s grave.

We continued our way through the top of Victoria, and headed to Tallangatta. Take a trip up to the lookout, but dont have the van on as the road is very steep, but the view is amazing.

There are plenty of places to camp along the lake, only short periods of time. If you are into mountain biking why not take the Old Rail Trail, you can ride from Corryong to Old Tallangatta which is 74km’s or from Wodonga to Old Tallangatta which is 35 km’s long, taking in views of the lake.

Continuing on our journey we stop in at the Old Trestle Bridge. If your towing a van, don’t drive all the way to the carpark there is not much turning room. there is a picnic table and its about a 500m walk till the bridge. there is an information board there.

We also stop in and chat with Rodger and Helen, fulltime travellers. Where we met them they have been parked up for 3 months. they had a boat in tow and Helen also carts around a spinning wheel so she can spin wool also on the road.
