With summer nearing and school holidays just around the corner, we thought we would do a series of shows in and around the lovely town of Port Macquarie.

Something that the whole family can join in is Ricardoes Tomatoes and Strawberries. Here you can let the kids do the picking and if you are a little older and have bending issues, there is no need the strawberries are all grown vertically.

Phill chats with Tony as he tells us all about what is available, they are open every day and picking strawberries can be done in the rain as its all undercover, and after picking your feed of strawberries to take home, why not visit the cafe and have a coffee and scones, complete with their homemade strawberry jam. Also in the shop, you can purchase the tastiest tomatoes, honey, chocolates and souvenirs. Located only 10 minutes out of Port, a good place to spend an hour or two.

The next business we visit is Cruise Port Macquarie, we chat with David (aka Tom “cruise” director) and his lovely wife Elsa. They tell us all about their cruises available. Why not enjoy a morning cruise or sunset cruise on the lovely Hastings River and see the dolphins swimming with the boat or watch the lovely sunset. Cruises last for 2 hours and there is catering on each cruise. Also a licenced bar is available. David also likes to entertain and we were lucky enough to catch him doing an Elvis impersonation.
