On this weeks show we are at Northern Foreshores Copeton Dam. Phill chats with Tom who is the manager at the park. The dam is located about 20km’s from Inverell and has been here for 7 years.
Its a great place to camp with both powered and non powered sites. Its beautiful bush surroundings with the huge lake as a backdrop which in summer is busy with campers, boaters and fishing.
Tom is a very busy person, manages the bookings, cleaning and general other jobs involved. There is also a water park for the summer season or when its warm enough and is busy throughout that period of time.
This also brings in the locals and is very busy for a day visit, where you can use the splash pool, fishing beautiful country walks and they charge only $5 for a car load. The BBQ’s are also free and they are scattered around the grounds.
Great ablutions block and laundry and there is also a cafe through the warmer months.
