On the show this week Phill chats with Gary Fogarty. Gary is a bush poet who has lived life to the fullest and has seen him work as an Agricultural Researcher, Rural Supplies Salesperson, Grazier, Farmer, Drought Relief Worker, Racehorse Strapper and Community Development Co-ordinator as well as playing Rugby League, Cricket, Tennis and Athletics, all at representative level. This has combined to provide Gary with a kitbag full of life experiences that fuel his poetry writing and allow him to relate to people from all walks of life.
Gary attends many events around mainly Queensland but also is an Emcee at events like Bony Mountain. Gary has written a children’s book of poems as he heard that 50% of year 9 students don’t know where eggs and milk come from so the book is to be read to younger children. Listen too what he has to say.
