What a lovely town Jindabyne is, We are here visiting at the end of summer. it was a little cool, spring and autumn would be lovely, but winter, well thats another level. Snow falling, white hills and mountains and if you are one that likes to ski, snowboard or throw snowballs then this is the place.

We stayed at the van park right on the lake, a short 5 minutes into Jindabyne and just 2 seconds to the turnoff to head for the snow fields.

We visited the Snowy Region Visitors Centre. A great stop to find out all the things that are available to the traveller. Apart from the maps and information available there is also park entry passes before you head into the Koscuiszko National Park.

Also a great range of tourist souveniers to purchase, books and gifts. There is a small gallery attached and a cafe for a bite to eat and that all important coffee. https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/things-to-do/visitor-centres/snowy-region-visitor-centre

The next stop on aur few days in Jindabyne was Wildbrumby Schnapps Distillery, A nice place to visit either for a day trip or a stop on your way to the snow. Located only 22km from Australias Highest Peak. Plenty of parking, wander the gardens and visit the raspberry canes growing. A coffee shop and Schnapps tasting. I can recommend the Butterscotch it is delicious. Your tasting board comes to you and the sounding of the cow bell ringing, very Austrain.

Lyn chatted to Brad the founder of Wildbrumby, they discussed the brewery, meeting his wife in Austria, his talents of painting and he was also a ski instructor. https://wildbrumby.com/

If you are after a good day out visit the Yarrangobilly Caves in Kosciuszko National Park. These caves were created over 440 million years ago. You can take a self guided tour through the largest cave called South Glory. Or visit the other caves on guided tours. Now go prepared as it can be very chilly underground even on a warm summers day. There is also a thermal pool at a constant 27 degrees celcius. There is also accomodation available at the Caves House or an eco cottage is available, and for those that wish to camp theres Yarrangobilly Village or Three Mile Dam. https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/things-to-do/yarrangobilly-caves-tours

Phill then chats to Justin from The Snowy Wilderness Resort. https://snowywilderness.com.au/ and also the great music throughout the show.
