On the show this week we start of in Gulgong. We visit the Gulgong Pioneers Museum and chat with Arthur. This museum is a must see with so much to see, you could spend a good few hours or take your time and go out and come back in during the day.
The museum is run by volunteers as members of the Gulgong Historical Society Inc, with a management committee and people who specialize in conservation and information management.
The most significant items in there collection are the buildings. There are three original relocated buildings, and an original in situ streetscape. These buildings capture the essence of the early history in Gulgong in a far stronger way than any of our articles. Of our articles, they have key collections of machinery, textiles, printing equipment and photographs. The other features include multi media presentations, local history information and volunteer activity.

Next on the show we catch up again with Jeff DeAth from Check Weight, who is now a regular on our show. This week he takes us through the wonderful world of acronyms. What they are and there meanings. So if you miss hearing the show you can listen to the podcast and catch each one.
Why not visit their website for more information, or book in your vehicle and get it properly checked.

Sometimes called unladen weight, is the weight of an empty caravan.
This information can be very confusing to caravanners and more confusing for those new to towing. Check out Checkweight’s Website for more information, or better still book in and have your vehicle and van weighed to make sure you are legal.

We take a trip to Forster and visit Dive Forster and speak with Ron Hunter, Ron has been in the Forster area for over 40 years so he knows a good deal about the area and the water.
There are a large range of courses that you can do and also dives available. Forster is known for the Grey Nurse sharks and there are many sites available to dive.
Ron Hunter has owned and operated the business since 1972; at first he operated as a boat hire and bait sales boatshed. Ron, since he was a kid at Sydney’s beachside suburb Maroubra, (gee! now that is archival!) has always surfed and spearfished and snorkelled in the ocean waters. In 1982 he established the first dive centre in Forster, NSW Australia. Buying a compressor and basically indulging his passion for the ocean, Ron has now owned and operated one of the longest operating Dive Centres on the East Coast
