On this weeks show we are in Tasmania where we meet a local author and also singer by the name of Tony Newport. For anyone into football Tony’s book is the history of football on the West Coast of Tasmania.
An anthology of stories of football played on the gravel fields and in the ever present mud of Tasmania’s west coast. Like the fluctuating fortunes of the nearby mining towns that dominate the remote West Coast, local football has had its ups and downs, but passion, pride and parochialism have combined to weave a tough and fascinating history

Phill catches up with Ken Wilson from Truck Friendly Caravan Road Safety Program and this weeks topic is towing speeds. There is a lot of confusion around the states. In WA you are limited to 100km/h for any trailer including a box trailer.
You need to check the states laws before you get on the road towing. For example in NSW the Towing speed limit in New South Wales (NSW)Along motorways and highways, this is 100 kilometres per hour. However, the tow vehicle should have a gross vehicle mass (GVM) that does not exceed 4,500 kilograms or 4.5 tonnes. If your CVM is greater than 4.5 tonnes, the speed limit is capped at 100 kilometres per hour.
