On this weeks show we meet Rudy and Edwina at the Burren Junction Bore Baths.
Rudy and Edwina have been travelling in their van on and off for the last 17 years. They have only just started this trip 2 weeks ago on their way to Western Austalia,
Rudy is from Switzerland and Edwina is from Ireland.
The worst trip they have been on was the Plenty Highway with things falling apart, microwave falling out but it was fix up and continue on.

Next up Phill meets Barbara at Bollon. Bollon is half way between St George and Cunnamulla on the Ballone River with a population of around 174 people. There is a museum and information centre, a cafe and a small supermarket where you can get supplies. The phone reception is not that great so ensure you have Telstra reception and the only fuel is an IOR station where you need an account and mobile reception to obtain fuel. You will find a lot of these in Western Queensland,
Barbara has lived here most of her life, when she came here there was over 400 people. There is a great camp ground in town Wallam Creek with free showers near the information centre with a lit walkway into town.

Next up we meet Gerda who works at the information centre in Thargomindah.
The Visitors Centre provides information on road conditions, tourism attractions, tourism products, and events within the Bulloo Shire and the greater Outback region. Also, it stocks various maps, brochures and tourism magazines. VIC staff are happy to advise visitors on roads, where they can stay and eat, and what there is to see in town and the wider region. It’s a great place to visit and has been likened by visitors to an “Oasis in the Desert”. So please remember to stop and drop in when you are driving through on your Outback Odyssey.
There is a waking tour you can do around town, visiting the old jail, the hospital and the Hydro Power Plant back in 1898 and the first town in Australia and third in the world to have hydro power and street lighting.

Next on the show Phill chats with the winners of the Quick Shear Imran Sullivan and Emma Hammonds who both won and are also boyfriend and girl friend. Also Emmas father took out the Masters.
