This episode still finds us at the Shearers Shindig in Thargomindah were we have meet some wonderful people there.

First up we meet Leith and Betty from the Outback Food Shack. They travelling around to many an outback shows with their great food available. You can find them as far as Birdsville for the Big Red Bash and have been going for the last 10 years.

Its hard work and they have a wonderful time. They enjoy the music and work at the same time. Leith’s husband also tags along with the driving. They are generally on the road from April to Christmas.

There menu ranges from burgers and loaded fries.

So keep an eye out for them next time you are in the outback.

Next on the show Phill meets Naomi and Flemo from the Bulloo River Hotel Motel in Thargomindah. They have only been running the hotel since August 23. Previously they were running the swimming pool and decided a change was needed.

The hotel consists of a Licensed Bar, Hotel Dining Room, Beer Garden, Guest Laundry Facilities. They are pet friendly for a meal but only on the verandah out the front. They have a big smoke up at least once a month which is a great feed.

All meals are made in house from scratch and the rissoles are a must.

They do have live music throughout the year.

Phill now meets Paul from the Oasis Motel in the main street of Thargomindah and moved here 18 months ago. Previously they ran caravan parks.

They had been looking for a change and decided to buy the hotel and fell in love with the place.

The motel has 16 rooms and they do have dog friendly rooms for those travelling with their furbaby.

The Oasis Motel and Licensed Restaurant offer modern air-conditioned en-suite Motel rooms. All rooms have a TV and DVD, a fridge, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities. The Oasis, with ample off street parking, is just a short walk from the Bulloo River, a great place to spend your evenings walking, fishing or just sitting enjoying the serenity of this lovely town. Alternatively, enjoy our inground pool or the other sporting facilities in Thargomindah.

Next on the show Phill meets Pepe from the Spanish Catering Co.

The pans they use are about 1m round which they make Paella in, they have a beef, chicken and vegan dish. They also cook a lamb on a cross over the open fire.

They are based on the Gold Coast but travel out for events and this is there 3rd year travelling to the outback.

Paella is a Spanish dish and make every Sunday as a huge event, and each family has there own special twist.

Lastly Phill meets Sally from Country Wear and embroidery services in Cunnamulla. Sally has a large range a Men’s & Women’s country wear available. Sally saw the business sale for sale and decided to buy.
